About
Sharif Noor Zisad is a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a recipient of the prestigious UAB Blazer Fellowship. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and healthcare data systems, with the goal of developing frameworks that make medical environments safer, more private, and more trustworthy.
Sharif is an Erasmus Mundus Scholar who earned a joint Master's degree in Green Networking and Cloud Computing (GENIAL) funded by European Union (EU), studying in France, the United Kingdom, and Sweden. He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Alongside academic research, Sharif has hands-on experience building production software, automated clinical data pipelines, web platforms, analytics dashboards, and AI-powered security tools for medical environment. He has also served as a guest lecturer and teaching assistant at UAB, mentoring students in networking, cloud computing, and systems design.

- Designed a patient record matching system and successfully matched 1,800 CRRT treatment sessions to EHR data using weighted matching algorithms and temporal overlap analysis.
